The Spice Girls are set to reunite for the British Queen's Diamond Jubilee this summer.

Band member Mel B let slip that the 1990s hit group will perform in honour of the monarch's anniversary celebrations in London.

The singer appeared on Australian TV and revealed that the Spice Girls will play an exclusive show at Buckingham Palace in front of the Royal Family on June 4.

The blunder happened when she was asked whether the girl band will perform at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

"Ooh, I think the Queen's Jubilee concert is the event I'd be looking at more closely for that to happen," she told Australian breakfast show Sunrise.

According to British newspaper The Sun, the star tried to distract from her slip-up by changing the subject.

However, she reportedly confirmed the news to TV workers after the programme.

Up until now the pop group were expected to perform at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

According to recent reports Mel B was trying to convince her fellow band members Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham to sign up for the exclusive performance.

This year sees 30 years since Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder first worked together on the classic smash hit 'Ebony and Ivory' (March 1982), which was Number 1 in the UK and the US.

The release of Paul's new album 'Kisses On The Bottom' sees them reunited on the track, 'Only Our Hearts'. 'Only Our Hearts' is one of two original McCartney compositions included on the album, which is a collection of standards Paul grew up listening to in his childhood.

On working with Stevie, Paul said, "Stevie came along to the studio in LA and he listened to the track for about ten minutes and he totally got it. He just went to the mic and within 20 minutes had nailed this dynamite solo. When you listen you just think, 'How do you come up with that?' But it's just because he is a genius, that's why".

Stevie joined Paul at LA's legendary Capitol Studio's to record the track.

'Kisses On The Bottom' is a collection of standards Paul grew up listening to in his childhood as well as the two new McCartney compositions 'My Valentine' and 'Only Our Hearts'. With the help of Grammy Award-winning producer Tommy LiPuma and Diana Krall and her band, Paul's new album is a deeply personal journey through classic American compositions that, in some cases, a young Paul first heard his father perform on piano at home

'Kisses On The Bottom' is out on Monday 6th February.

2 Live Crew reunite for tour

Notorious rappers 2 Live Crew are in the process of reuniting and will be on the road this summer.

Luther Campbell said at the Sundance Film Festival that "I just can't wait to just start practicing. That's going to be a blast. We're going to perform the songs and everybody's going to be excited. Some of the older people of our generation will be able to tell their kids, 'You're staying home tonight, we're going to see 2 Live Crew and shake our booty!'"

Campbell was not originally part of 2 Live Crew. The group was created by DJ Mr. Mixx (David Hobbs), Fresh Kid Ice (Chris Wong Won) and Amazing V (Yuri Vielot) in 1985. They later added Brother Marquis (Mark Ross) and Campbell, who served as manager and, eventually, lead vocalist.

Their third album, 1989's Nasty As They Wanna Be, cemented their reputation as one of the most controversial artists every produced from the rap genre. Nasty included three top 15 R&B hits including their number 1, Me So Horny. It also made them the targets of numerous protests from conservative groups who were offended by the blatant sexuality on the album. It was even deemed obscene in a Florida court and was illegal to sell in the state for some time.

The group broke up in 1991 with most going on to other musical enterprises.

Campbell was at Sundance promoting the short film The Life and Freaky Times of Uncle Luke in which he has a part.
