Saturday Night Live fans taken to Twitter and Facebook to tear strips off the performance by Lana Del Rey on the weekend.

The audience hated it.

In an unusual move by producer Lorne Michaels Lana was chosen despite not having released an album. Michaels reacted to the media hype to book her, something equally unusual in this social media world.

Perez Hilton wrote, 'It wasn't just me! Seems like the OVERWHELMING consensus is that @LanaDelRey was horrible on SNL'.

User comments included 'I think lana del rey is a cyborg. Owned and created by someone. A machine human' and 'Lana Del Rey single-handedly ruins SNL'.

What does Lorne Michaels have to say? Not much on Twitter. He hasn't tweeted since April 27, 2010.

Juliette Lewis has. She wrote, 'Wow watching this 'singer' on SNL is like watching a 12 yearold in their bedroom when theyre pretending to sing and perform #signofourtimes'.

Lana's debut album 'Born To Die' will be released through Universal Music next week.

This Feeling is first on the scene to bring you acts such as Miles Kane, Viva Brother, The Enemy and many more over the past 5 years and continues to fly the flag for new British guitar music in 2012...

Prepare to witness history in the making at The Queen Of Hoxton on Saturday 14th January as 'London's most rock and roll night out' kicks off the new year in style with an extra special 'Big In 2012' night. No less than six of the country's most talked about, up-and-coming acts will be descending upon the stage to give the TF faithful a taste of the cream of the crop in 2012. And let's be clear about one thing - this is no manufactured list, dictated by PR. These bands matter.

Soulful London five-piece, BORN BLONDE, list The Doors and The Verve as major influences and have been working with Owen Morris (Oasis, The Verve) and Barney Barnicott (Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys).

Everyone in the know is excited about this band. Expect propulsive beats and hypnotic Doves-esque soundscapes in an intense live show that will leave you spellbound. LIFE IN FILM list diverse influences including Radiohead and Kings Of Leon and will be showcasing their own unique and infectious brand of indie pop, playing songs from their debut album (recorded with Stephen Street of The Smiths/Blur fame) including last years brilliant single 'Sorry' released on This Feeling Records.

Fresh-faced Manchester ska-soul four-piece, JANICE GRAHAM BAND, bring with them funky retro grooves and a truly rousing carnival atmosphere. With positive comparisons to bands like The Specials, The Coral and Happy Mondays, these boys have a reputation for putting on storming live shows. Witness tracks from their debut album, 'It's Not Me' (out end of Feb), including riotous single 'No Money Honey'.

Brit-pop revivalists SULK will be stirring up 90s harmonies inspired by the likes of The Stone Roses, Suede, Pulp and The Verve, creating music of majesty with sun-drenched vocals, ethereal guitars and pounding percussion.

Birmingham's THE CARPELS list Talking Heads and LCD Soundsystem as major influences and have been working with Jim Spencer of New Order and Doves fame. Expect an urgent and edgy brand of new-wave post-punk which has earned comparisons with the song craft of The Coral and the raucous energy of The Libertines.

Completing the stellar line-up THE GHOSTS who quite appropriately have come from nowhere to our attention with their dreamy guitar laden pop.
