Snoop Dogg drug busted in Texas

Snoop Dogg has been arrested over the weekend for possessing less than half an ounce of marijuana.

The bust happened in Sierra Blanca, TX when a drug-sniffing dog found two joints in a prescription bottle on Dogg's tour bus as he crossed the US-Mexico border.

It was the same place country superstar Willie Nelson had been busted for possession in 2010.

Dogg has a prescription for medical marijuana in California, but the prescription isn't valid in Texas. He was released and given a January 20 court date. If convicted he could face 180 days in jail.

Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg collaborated on the song Superman on Dogg's 2011 album Doggumentary.

Although it was a long time ago, Texas is the same state that sentenced Roky Erickson to ten years in a mental institution where he received electro-shock therapy after he was convicted of possession of a single joint. Needless to say those Texans don't like to mess around with these things.

This year's Coachella hosts big names, and some massive reunions in the form of At The Drive-In and Refused.

The Californian mega-festival Coachella has announced their line-up, looking suspiciously like the leaked poster that was unveiled before Christmas.

Day One will be headlined by The Black Keys, with Swedish House Mafia, Pulp, Arctic Monkeys, Mazzy Star, Afrojack, Explosions In The Sky and more.

The big news for the first day is that iconic and massively influential Swedish hardcore innovators Refused will reform for the show.

Day Two features Radiohead, Bon Iver, The Shins, David Guetta, Noel Gallaghers' High Flying Birds, Kaskade, Miike Snow and more.

And the final day features Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg, Justice, Florence And The Machine, AVICII, La Roux, Beirut and the reunion show for equally influential post-hardcore act At The Drive-In.

The festival runs over two weekend this year, April 13-15 and April 20-22.
