There are reports that London born rapper and singer M.I.A. could end up paying potentially huge fines handed out to the TV network NBC following her unscripted Super Bowl half-time performance on Sunday.

The Paper Planes singers swore during her comeo in Madonna's half time show enraging tha material girl.

In an unusual turn of events Madonna was upstaged in front of the hundred and eleven million people watching around the world as M.I.A. stuck up her middle finger as they played Madonna's latest single.

NBC staff tried to blur the moment but missed it. The network was quick to offer an apology and dismiss responsibility saying it was not in the act during rehearsals.

TV Network CBS was almost fined over half a million dollars for the Janet Jackson 'wardrobe malfunction' back in 2004, when part of her top was ripped off... revealing more than it should have done.

M.I.A. will have to wait and see if the stunt backfires on her financially.

Steven Tyler expects a fantastic performance from Madonna at Super Bowl XLVI as she 'gets the big picture'.

The superstar will take to the stage at the iconic American football game on Sunday. She's admitted getting an attack of nerves while preparing for the event, but Steven has every faith that she'll pull it off.

'If I were Madonna, I think she would be rehearsing for the last month about it, 'cause she's smart,' he told Access Hollywood.

'I love that woman. She really gets the big picture.'

Steven knows what he is talking about as he performed at the iconic football event in 2001. He sang with his band Aerosmith, but things didn't work out as he'd hoped.

'I went out - it was in surround sound - and only my vocal came out,' he recalled. 'The band was gone. I watched it and went, 'Mmmm,' and I melted down into the rug.'

Madonna is expected to perform her new song Give Me All Your Luvin' on Sunday. It is released today and she premiered a small portion of the promo during last night's American Idol show.

The track features vocals from M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj, and the preview began with the two stars dressed in cheerleader outfits.

Madonna was then seen strutting along in an overcoat, sunglasses and the fingerless gloves she has recently become famous for. The iconic star is pushing a pram as she approaches the two younger singers.

Nicki and M.I.A. have a whole cheerleading squad with them, while a footballer is alongside Madonna clearing the way down the street for her. Soon more sportsmen appear and all make it their mission to ensure Madonna is safe from rain and is able to walk the street without obstruction.

Give Me All Your Luvin' is the first track from Madonna's upcoming album M.D.N.A. and the whole promo will be released today.

Kelly Clarkson will reportedly perform the national anthem at the US Super Bowl.

The 29-year-old songstress has been chosen to perform at the prestigious NFL championship game on February 5, a source has revealed.

The official announcement of the Super Bowl entertainment line-up was expected to be made later this month, but an insider leaked the information to The Associated Press last night.

Country stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are also rumoured to be taking to the stage at the sporting event. They are expected to perform America the Beautiful during the pre-game rounds.

Queen of Pop Madonna was confirmed as a half-time act at the end of last year.

Her highly anticipated performance will be 'imagined' by Cirque Du Soleil and her longtime creative director Jaime King.

Kelly will follow into the footsteps of legendary performers like Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson and Bruce Springsteen if she takes centre stage at the Lucas Oil Stadium next month.

The talented singer shot to fame when she won the 2002 series of American Idol.
