Beyoncé Knowles has shown off her impressive post-pregnancy body in her first public appearance since having a baby.
The 30-year-old singer ' who gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy on January 7 ' was out in New York City last night to support her husband Jay-Z.
She looked stunning in a tight-fitting red Alice by Temperley dress teamed with oversized gold hoop earrings and Christian Louboutin platform heels.
The new mom beamed with happiness as she arrived at Carnegie Hall to watch her husband Jay-Z perform with a full orchestra.
Jay-Z was thrilled to have his wife in the audience and looked visibly choked up when he performed Glory ' the song he wrote for his new baby girl.
"You could tell Jay is over the moon," a source told Us Weekly. "He asked the crowd if there are any proud parents out there. Then after he said, 'I didn't think I was gonna make it through that one - that was tough.'"
During the concert, Jay-Z was joined on stage by Alicia Keys and the pair thrilled the crowd by performing their hit duet Empire State of Mind.
Nas also performed with Jay-Z during the benefit concert.
After the show, a host of stars attended the official after-party at Jay-Z's 40/40 club. Beyoncé was clearly enjoying herself and spent time chatting to the other guests.
"She made a much bigger effort to say hello to nearly everyone, making rounds around the whole club before joining Jay-Z and guests in the VIP room," an onlooker revealed.
Beyoncé arrived at the bash just before midnight and greeted her rapper spouse by throwing her arms around him in the middle of the club. Jay-Z relaxed after his impressive performance by sipping champagne and snacking on celery in the VIP area.
Jay-Z performed for the first time at Carnegie Hall to raise money for his Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation and The United Way of New York City, which gives talented students financial assistance to attend college.

Beyonce says Jay-Z is hands on dad

Beyonce says her husband Jay-Z is happy doing his share of diaper duty.
The 30-year-old singer gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy earlier this month and has gushed to Britain's Star magazine about the rapper's skills as a father.
And although it is reported that the music couple have already spent a fortune on their bundle of joy, Beyoncé says that it's time spent with their child that is most important.
'He will change diapers, of course he will,' Beyoncé shared. 'He is going to be a very hands-on father. He has already said publicly that providing isn't love.
'Love is being there. Love is doing the little things for your child. Love is taking care of her on a day-to-day basis. He wants all of that, and he is going to be so good at it.'
The Single Ladies star says that they are going to ensure that Blue isn't a spoilt little rich kid.
'We are in a situation where we can give our child possessions, but the richest of children have a loving family and a place they can call home. Plenty of rich kids are crying out for love, that's all children really crave,' she told the publication.
Baby Blue will not be short of loved ones and her mother's former Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland have been gushing about what a little beauty she is.
'She is absolutely gorgeous,' Michelle told USA Today. 'We are all in love. [Beyoncé and Jay] have already settled into their role of being parents, and it's just awesome to see.'
'She was born to be a mother,' Kelly added. 'She's wonderful.'
But Michelle said that out of the three girls in the group, they never thought Beyoncé would be the first to become a parent.
'We were very shocked,' Michelle said on hearing the news. 'We were laughing with each other the other day and she was like, 'Can y'all believe it? I was the anti ' like no children for me,' and she's the first one [of us to have a baby]. So it was so amazing to see her.'
Beyoncé also told Star that contrary to all the wild speculation, Blue Ivy was going to have a regular upbringing.
'Life will be normal for her because we are a normal, loving family,' the singer said. 'We both happen to be in the public eye, but our marriage and family is private.
'At home, she'll be part of a normal, loving family with a loving mom, a loving dad, a loving aunt and loving grandparents, just like any other kid.'
There were claims the pair lavished cash on high-tech security when the star gave birth in New York. Some reports suggested measures were so tight they affected other people who needed access to Lenox Hill Hospital. Beyoncé insists they have been blown out of proportion.
'Everybody who we wanted to see her, saw her,' she said. 'Security was very tight, but not just for the sake of it, it was for the security of our daughter.'

Australian scientists have name a fly after Beyonce because of its 'bootylicious' shape.

The Scaptia (Plinthina) was first identified in Queensland in 1981, the same year Beyonce was born. To date, it has never been officially named.

Researchers for the CSIRO noticed that the fly's huge behind made it 'the diva of flies' and named in Beyonce in honour of her shapely figure.

Beyonce the fly is a rare horse fly only found in Northern Queensland.

Beyonce Knowles had a 'military like' get away from her New York hospital today.
The 30-year-old singer gave birth to baby Blue Ivy Carter on Saturday and has been recuperating at Lenox Hill Hospital over the past few days.
But it is reported that the Single Ladies singer left the facility around 1.30am Tuesday morning in a cavalcade of several blacked-out SUVs.
Beyonce was apparently accompanied by rapper husband Jay-Z and they made a speedy exit from the hospital's back loading dock.
An eyewitness told New York Daily News that the exit consisted of elaborate car choreography to ensure security and also to outwit waiting photographers.
'It was very precise, very military-like,' one witness said. 'Immediately, security personnel began leaving the hospital.'
First pictures of Blue Ivy are speculated to fetch over $1 million.
The music couple released a statement yesterday saying that they were in 'heaven' following the birth of their first child.
'She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all of your prayers, well wishes, loves and support,' the message read.

Beyonce Knowles and husband Jay-Z have already splashed out a £1 million on their newborn daughter Blue Ivy, it is reported.
The couple welcomed their first child into the world on Saturday but the little girl will grow up in a lap of luxury and her parents have already ensured that she is surrounded by the best of everything.
Britain's Star magazine claims that the superstar couple have stocked their three homes with all that their child could want including a rocking horse that set them back £400,000.
'They're really pulling out all the stops ' the two of them have been spending like there's no tomorrow!' an insider told the publication.
'Together they've bought a Swarovski-studded high chair by Carla Monchen for £10,000, and a Fantasy 'posh tots' coach carriage crib for £30,000.
'Jay-Z bought Beyoncé a solid gold handmade Ginza Tanaka rocking horse for £400,000. They've even splashed out on a £20,000 magical windmill playhouse for the garden and a mini Bugatti car too.'
The couple have also spent a massive £240,000 to ensure that the nurseries in each of their three homes are identical so the baby will feel at home when they travel around America.
The happy couple released an official statement yesterday confirming the new addition to their family and dispelled reports that the little girl was born via C-section.
'Hello Hello Baby Blue!' the message from musical duo began.
'We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven.
'She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all of your prayers, well wishes, loves and support.'
Jay-Z released a track yesterday that he recorded soon after Blue Ivy was born called Glory which is a touching tribute about the couple's joy at becoming parents but also mentioned that Beyoncé had suffered a miscarriage in the past.
Meanwhile, a representative for the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York where Beyoncé gave birth has dispelled reports that the couple paid a sizeable sum to close off a whole floor to ensure privacy and security.
'The suggestion that the couple paid $1.3 million to rent an entire maternity floor is simply not true,' the spokesperson said.
'The family is housed in an executive suite at the hospital and is being billed the standard rate for those accommodations.
'The family does have its own security detail on site. However, the hospital has been and continues to be in control of managing all security at the facility.
'We have made every effort to ensure minimal disruption to other families experiencing the birth of their own children over the past three days.'
The hospital rep also added that they had received no complaints from any other parents at the hospital.
There had been reports that a father was stopped from entering the intensive care unit to see his premature twins by the stars' security and that mothers at the hospital were considering filing a lawsuit because of the alleged disruption.
