Steven Tyler expects a fantastic performance from Madonna at Super Bowl XLVI as she 'gets the big picture'.

The superstar will take to the stage at the iconic American football game on Sunday. She's admitted getting an attack of nerves while preparing for the event, but Steven has every faith that she'll pull it off.

'If I were Madonna, I think she would be rehearsing for the last month about it, 'cause she's smart,' he told Access Hollywood.

'I love that woman. She really gets the big picture.'

Steven knows what he is talking about as he performed at the iconic football event in 2001. He sang with his band Aerosmith, but things didn't work out as he'd hoped.

'I went out - it was in surround sound - and only my vocal came out,' he recalled. 'The band was gone. I watched it and went, 'Mmmm,' and I melted down into the rug.'

Madonna is expected to perform her new song Give Me All Your Luvin' on Sunday. It is released today and she premiered a small portion of the promo during last night's American Idol show.

The track features vocals from M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj, and the preview began with the two stars dressed in cheerleader outfits.

Madonna was then seen strutting along in an overcoat, sunglasses and the fingerless gloves she has recently become famous for. The iconic star is pushing a pram as she approaches the two younger singers.

Nicki and M.I.A. have a whole cheerleading squad with them, while a footballer is alongside Madonna clearing the way down the street for her. Soon more sportsmen appear and all make it their mission to ensure Madonna is safe from rain and is able to walk the street without obstruction.

Give Me All Your Luvin' is the first track from Madonna's upcoming album M.D.N.A. and the whole promo will be released today.

Liv Tyler has voiced her support of her father's recent engagement.

Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, 63, asked girlfriend Erin Brady to marry him over the holidays and Liv says she couldn't be more pleased.

Speaking to People magazine at the Sundance Film Festival, Liv gave her thoughts on the impending nuptials.

'[They've been together] for a long, long time,' Liv shared. 'I like her very much.'

There had been reports that Steven's family were 'furious' about his engagement to the 38-year-old Clear Channel executive but Liv has now refuted those rumours.

Liv is promoting her new film Robot and Frank and revealed that she will be following in her father's footsteps and is forging a career in the music industry.

'I got to record a cover of INXS's I Need You Tonight for a Givenchy commercial,' the 34-year-old model said of the song that is due out soon. 'It was fun and terrifying and wonderful.

'I always thought when I was a little girl that I'd be a singer. My mom [Bebe Buell] was always in bands. My dad. And my stepfather, Todd Rundgren is an incredible musician.'

Quick quips: Black Sabbath, Neil Young, Merle Haggard, Jim Reeves, Steven Tyler, Winston Riley

It seems that a cancer diagnosis is not keeping Tony Iommi from working on music for the Black Sabbath reunion. Bandmate Geezer Butler wrote on his website:

Today [January 19] we got the engines back up and running @ Tony's home studio. Far from being down and depressed about his lymphoma diagnosis, Tony had already written the music for two new songs, and I must say it has given us all a kick up the rump- it's great to hear him churning out those riffs again, assuaging the Demon C. Takes more than that to stop Tony. Can't wait for you all to hear our workings, it has been great working on this stuff.

Neil Young's LinkVolt LLC is being sued for $500,000 by Unigard Insurance over damages from a 2010 warehouse fire in San Carlos, CA. Unigard paid out to the owners of the building but allege that the fire was caused by Young's 1959 Lincoln Continental that he had converted to run on electricity and a bio-diesel powered generator.

Merle Haggard was released from the hospital on Friday after being treated for pneumonia. Doctors expect him to make a full recovery.
Haggard has postponed his remaining concert dates for January while he fully recovers.

A trial opens on Monday that will determine how the royalties for the late Jim Reeves' recordings will be split. Even though Reeves passed away almost fifty years ago, his work still generates $400,000 per year and Terry Davis, who married the singers widow, feels that he should receive part of them. Davis was married to Mary Reeves for thirty years until her death in 1999.
For the second year in a row, CMT will present a special edition of their long running Crossroads series during the festivities for the Super Bowl. Last year it was Faith Hill and the Pretenders and, this year, on February 4, it will be Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood.
The two previously performed together at last year's ACM Awards.

Jamaican reggae pioneer Winston Riley passed away on Thursday from gunshot wounds to the head he received in November. He was 65.
Riley had been the target of a number of unexplained attacks in 2011, including being shot in August and stabbed in September.

Riley was a founder of the Techniques while still a teenager and was still adapting and having hits into the 80's. He was also credited with introducing reggae to England.

Steven Tyler thinks committing to another person is 'magical'.

The Aerosmith rocker became engaged to long-term girlfriend Erin Brady in December but still has loving feelings for his former partners Cyrinda Foxe and Teresa Barrick.

Although his previous marriages have both ended in divorce, Steven believes in long-term relationships.

'There's something about a commitment. There's some kind of magic that lives inside a commitment. Every time I've ever made a commitment, I've made it successful. And even a few botched marriages, they were still successful,' he told Access Hollywood. 'I've got four beautiful kids. I still love their mums. I just screwed up.'

While Steven is prepared to walk down the aisle for a third time, the American Idol judge isn't sure whether he will become a dad again.

The 63-year-old has actress Liv Tyler with model Bebe Buell, daughter Mia from his marriage to Cyrinda as well as Chelsea Anna and son Taj Monroe with ex-wife Teresa.

'I don't know, we'll wait and see,' he said when asked about the possibility of more children. 'I'm taking it slow.'

Steven Tyler: My fiancée tied me up

Steven-Tyler:-My-fiancandeacute;e-tied-me-up Email this story Printable version

Steven Tyler says he knew he would marry fiancée Erin Brady when she showed off her naughty side.

The Aerosmith rocker got engaged over the holidays and revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today how he knew that she was 'the one.'

Steven, 63, divulged that it was an encounter backstage with Erin, 38, over five years ago that sealed the deal for him.

'The first time I saw her, she worked for Clear Channel,' he recalled. 'So she was paying the band.'

'One night she had this hair band on around her head. She looked really old-fashioned. So I took her back in the room and she tied me up with it and I thought, 'I'm marrying this girl.' Exactly that way.'

When the talk show host asked Steven if he got turned on by women wearing head scarves, he was unreserved in his response.

'Yes,' the American Idol judge said. 'It's the imagery and how deep one can get into it.'

Steven, who has been in rehab nearly half a dozen times, says that he hopes married life with Erin will keep him out of trouble.

'I don't want to go back to that place,' Steve said after achieving two years of sobriety.

'That place lost me, my kids, a marriage, a band,' he shared. 'A lot of things. And it's for real. That's how dangerous that is. So I take [staying clean] seriously.'
