Lostprophets have announced the release of their brand new album 'Weapons' and their first headline UK tour in two years.

The new album is released on April 2nd and is followed by a 14 date tour of the UK and Ireland culminating with a show at London's O2 Academy Brixton.

It's been two years since the Welsh sextet released their fourth studio album, 'The Betrayed' (January 2010). Two very hectic years. After triumphant tours across the UK and Europe on which they played in front of tens of thousands of people, Kerrang! Magazine bestowed the prestigious 'Classic Songwriters Award' on the band, and it was time for Lostprophets to remind the world just how deserved that honour was.

Before the writing and recording process for fifth album, 'Weapons', could begin, 2010 needed to be closed out with a series of big experiences. As has become the norm, Lostprophets wowed the massive Reading and Leeds main stage crowd. They then went on to steal the show at Belfast's Belsonic Festival and about a month later, were asked to participate in the opening ceremony for the Ryder Cup at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

2011 was one hell of a year for Twin Atlantic and 2012 shows no signs of them slowing down! Since the release of their spectacular debut album, 'Free' - the biggest selling record by a UK rock band in 2011 - the pedal has been to the metal.

From gracing the covers of Kerrang! and Rock Sound magazine, to performing in front of thousands of people at festivals all over Europe and headlining venues such as Glasgow Academy (and selling it out!), this hard working quartet have catapulted themselves into the new year already. Recently named as the iTunes Rewind Rock Artist of The Year and currently on the BBC Radio 1 A list with their blistering single 'Free' - Twin Atlantic are thrilled to announce that they will head out this April on their biggest UK and Ireland headline tour!

'Our tour at the end of 2011 was incredible but we feel like we still have room to grow. It's been a slow and steady race for us over the last few years and this tour will mark our 5 year anniversary as a band!
